And for those who dont celebrate Halloween, happy Oktoberfest!
Im not going to do anything with my book today because I am stepping out of my persona, by extension also stepping out of the persona of Andrina, and Im stepping into the persona of The Queen Of Hearts!!
I will most likely post pictures later.
Be safe tonight everyone!

Oh, For Shame!!
I have been very bad this week, book wise.
I haven't done much writting of anything! Well I 'spose that's not entirely true.
I did completely revise chapters 3-5 i just have to rewrite them out. And i've gotten a few paragraphs into the first draft of chapter 6! WOOO. (I know previously i only had 4 chapters but i had to split one because it was too long and dragged on.)
Im battling with my brain. Its no secret that i need my music to write. So one fine day i sat down to add to chap. 6 and instead got inspiration for a completely different scene that doesn't even occur until much later in my book. I didn't want to loose the inspiration so i just went with it but now i cant seem to focus my mind on chap. 6 again. ARGGG!!!
Ok Ranting over.
I am hoping to rewrite chap. 3 out so i can give you guys a few more tid-bits from it.

Captain Procrastinator!
So I spent the biggest portion of my day, thus far, seeing how long i could put of school work before i started to feel really terrible (Smacks head against wall repeatedly)... I lasted an hour.
Seeing as how i have fallen so far behind in school because my main focus has been my book I decided organization was the only way to balance it. I cant give up my book for school, but i wont forfeit school for my book.
Isn't this where someone walks in and says"Somethings gotta give"?
Any whoo, I tried my hand at being the organized person I'm usually not, and discovered how much easier it made everything. I wrote all the schoolwork down that i needed to finish (i even put little stars next to the ones that are first priority). And i allowed myself little breaks in between to do some revisions and writing for my book.
Along the way I also discovered that i had no idea how to take my book from where it was to where its going. (Mentally screams NOOOOO!!) So I wrote out my plot lines and realized i had way to many major conflicts for them to all go in one book, thus transforming my one book into three books. (Score!)
Now that I can see where I'm taking my characters I believe I will be able to stay on top of school and still finish two chapters a week.
And now, since I am oh so organized lately, I must follow my plan and get back to homework.

The Great Computer Crash of '09
So earlier tonight (or last night in my case, seeing as how its now the wee hours of the morning), not long after I posted my playlist for chapter one, my dear and dreadful computer went KAPUT!
I lost all my class essays and other homework items, my revisions of chapters 1-3, and ALL my pictures.
A moment of silence please?
Just goes to show you how unreliable technology is. Luckily I had already sent revised chapters 1 and 2 to Roxann for review and she, the wonderful, brilliant, perfect person she is, saved them all in her inbox, so she was able to send them back to me.
Silver lining much?
I'm glad that, of all the things I lost, my two revised chapters were not one of them.
I will be working double time to make up for loosing chapter 3 and all the homework I had lost so don't be surprised if I come here to stamp my feet about stress and school.
I will also be looking around to see if I can somehow locate my pictures through family and emails.
Now time to grumble about schoolwork being lost forever.
*grumble grumble*

Chapter 2 has been revised! Typed up and sent of for review by Roxie. I'm pretty excited that its all moving right along.
A small background on my inspiration for my main male character, Damon, physical appearance and the dynamic of his friendship with my main female character, Andrina. I drew a very large amount of inspiration from my best friend Trevan (the one with swine flu). Trevan and I grew up together from the age of five, our families were long time friends. Unfortunately he had to move to Utah when his step-dad got a job there and we lost touch for two years. Trevan was always a comfortable friend to have and, yes he was freakishly tall along with his whole family.
The Differences between Damon and Trevan? Damon has a secret, Trevan is too obvious to have secrets Lol. Damon in my mind had very tan skin with just a soft olive undertone to it, Trevan is as white as they come. Damon is 6"6, Trevan is a freakish 6"7 (his brother Kenton is 6"10, i told you they were tall).
Any ways that's all the give aways I will give to you now, hope you enjoy. If I find good enough pictures of my choice actors for Damon's Physical appearance I will post them.

Ready or not?
So as I previously mentioned one of my best friends, Trevan, has come down with the swine flu. Great news, his doctors say that he found it early enough that he should be able to kick it fairly quickly! Which means all that angsty worry from befor was probably for nothing. arg!
Well, since i have less to worry about now im going to jump head first into my book, and i refuse to resurface until i have mad a big dent in revisions of the first 4 chapters!!!
Away I go, ready or not!!

Perhaps I spoke too soon?
As I feared it would, the cold came back with a vengence. My eyes are burning and my troat is raw.
Since such is the case, staring at a computer to type out a chapter doesn't seem like a possibilty today so I will, instead, read Roxann's newly finished chapter, send her my thoughts, and than down a few ibuprophen and wait for the eye torture to subside before trying to work again.
Sorry for the interuptions, but such is life!

It's Alive! It's.... ALIIIIVE!
Thats right, I live again! I am feeling suprisingly well today, considering how terrible I felt yesterday. We're talking Zeus' lightening bolts of death had potentially been rammed into my conrnias. Of course my excursion to take cookies to my, also sick, cousin couldn't have helped the lightening bolt-cornia experiance. (I deserve the "Cousin of the Month award".)
Im taking advantage of my well being, in fear that the cold may come back with a vengance, and am going out to a hockey game tonight, or a fight depending on how you look at it. Haha.
I am thrilled that i have comletely finished chapter one and am almost half way through chapter two but am sad to say that I will be writing at a slower pace for the next few weeks. My best friend, Trevan (Ironically enough a sliver of my insperations for Damon), has come down with the swine flue (H1N1) so I will be devoting a fair amount of my days to talking with him on the phone and, if he gets worse, possibly driving out to see him.
I will still be making regular posts I just wont be making as much progress on the book.
Sorry!

There's no place like "cold"
Thats right... I have a dreaded cold. At least I hope its just a cold! None-the-less, I have confined myself to bed to avoid getting anyone else sick just incase it is more then a cold. Which means I will be losing my mind by the end of a boring day, but i will also have lots of time for writing.
Bitter-Sweet, is it not?
I have finished my first revision of chapter one and will begin revising chapter two shortly. I've decided to move back and forth a little bewteen revising the first four chapters and writing out the rough draft for the on-going chapters after that. Hoping i can multi-task well enough to keep my book from beoming a jumbled mess.
Hopefully by the end of the day I will have more detailed map outs of my charachters (althougt I already have a crystal clear image of Damon and Andrina in my mind). If i can find pictures of people who i think can depict they're physicallitys properly I may post them for you all.
And thanks to my dear friend Roxie for mentioning me in you blog! You made my sick-day that much less sad and lonely. Lol

Friends and Authors alike!
I just stopped by my friend, and fellow aspiring author, Roxann Congers blog "Putting Pen to Paper". I would highly recommend to everyone that they stop by and follow her updates on her book as well. Its a wonderful piece taking place in the 1800's in Italy.
But see for yourself at http://roxanconger112507.blogspot.com/

You seem somewhat familiar, Have I written you before?
Time to unleash my synopsis. A synopsis that I have thought a million times over and i FINALLY get to share it now! Basic setting for my book, a simple medium sized town in southern Oregan or nothern Maine (still in mental debate about that one). Ready? Lights, Camera, Synopsis!
"Andrina Leonidis has spent the last four years of her life trying to forget the mysterious departure of her best friend, Damon, but just when she thought she was finally making progress Damon walks back into her life and she welcomes him with eager, open arms. Andrina's happiness quickly becomes stilted by Damon's strange behaviour. She starts to question whether or not Damon's secrets may have more to do with her then he's saying."
There we have it. This whole synopsis is subject to change, though the storyline will stay the same. It really just depends on how much more information i feel like adding to the synopsis. Let me know what you think!

Hasta la Vista, Writters block!

A year ago today, I sat down with this very same lap-top under my hands and began a book that I'd had festering in my head for YEARS!! I was steady at writing for six months and then..... An authors worst nightmare.
H-e-e-e-e-re's Johnny!
Only Johnny was not Jack Nicholson with an axe, Johnny was writers block. Writers block staring me dead in the face on my first book.
After six months of preoccupations I sat down, lap-top perched on my lap, and decided to print my 4 completed chapters of my book and revise them in an effort to beat the writers block.
As I write I will post tid-bits and teasers for you all to get a taste of just one of the worlds i have brewing in my head.
